Hoop Tracker

Will I lose my data if I reinstall the app or get a new phone?

By default, everything you log stays only on your device, so reinstalling or switching phones without backing up first will lose it. Two ways to avoid that: sign in with Google or Apple (Settings → Back up your data) for automatic cloud backup, or export a backup file from Settings → Backup at any time and restore from it later.

Do I need to create an account to use the app?

No. Hoop Tracker works fully offline with no account at all. Signing in — with Google or Apple, whichever you prefer — is entirely optional. It's only needed for cloud backup or to join a practice group with friends.

How do I delete my data?

If you've never signed in, uninstalling the app or clearing the browser's site data deletes everything immediately, since nothing exists anywhere else. If you have signed in and want your cloud backup, group membership, or push-notification data deleted too, email us below and we'll delete it — there's no self-service delete button yet.

Voice dictation isn't picking up what I say

Make sure microphone access is allowed for the app (Settings → Hoop Tracker → Microphone, on iOS). After recording, the transcript box is always editable — tap in and fix anything before splitting it into drills.

How do practice groups work?

Create a group or join one with an invite code from Settings → Social. Your group only ever sees your name, photo, session counts, shooting percentages, and streaks — never your individual workout log or shot-by-shot detail.

Found a bug, or something looks wrong?

Email us with what you were doing and what you expected to happen — screenshots help a lot.
